Sheikh jee restaurant made an appearance in Bahria Town last year at the end of September with breakfast only(Chaney & Siri Paya). From the start of its opening, they have been experimenting different things. First, they started selling breakfast items then they added chicken biryani and sell it at lunch timings. And, two to three months ago few more items were added in its menu card especially for the dinner like Karahi, Barbeque, Shawarma etc.
Recently, due to summers Sheikh Jee restaurant has introduced fresh juices and shakes. Also, they redecorated the restaurant and changed its seating plan. Along with all kinds of fresh juices and shakes, they’re now also selling Khoya and chocolate Kufi. The prices are I think Rs 30/- and Rs 50/-.
Sheikh Jee restaurant is located at 114-B, Jasmine Block, Sector C. Adjacent to Galaxy mart and near to Girls hostel.

The unbroken chain of the opening of new restaurants in Bahria Town isn’t a new concern for us because every month one or two new restaurants openings is a must thing. Similarly, we’ve been witnessing that every year before Eid the momentum of new restaurants is on turbo mood. I am saying this because in a duration of one month I’ve already written about three restaurants, today is the fourth one and after that two restaurants are still remaining to update here.
So, after Burger Fix, Pizza Pizzaria and Pizza Max here is the fourth restaurant which is Desi Food. This eat-out spot has opened a couple of days back but I didn’t come across before. I saw it yesterday got the picture and it’s menu card to share here. Its a typical desi restaurant offering all desi foods including, Desi Nashta, Parathas with different flavors, a list of snacks in its tea time section, burgers and shawarma. . They also have famous street food Pathoray and Ladoo Pithi which I think you can not get anywhere in Bahria Town. And, its a second branch in Town the first branch is operational at main boulevard Izmir Town. Well, the only thing that bothers me is that this type of restaurants in Bahria Town mostly fail to meet customer’s expectations and couldn’t able to maintain their business for long due to the underwhelming ambiance and disappointing seating arrangements. Share your thoughts as well how do you see the future of these kinda restaurants in Town.
Here is the menu of Desi Foods restaurant:
Desi Foods restaurant is located at D market, Shaheen Block, Sector B. Next to Jugnu Hair Salon and Baboo’s tandoor.

We already have a list of local and international pizza chains and other fast food restaurants that sell pizzas, all the names and contact details are available in the telephone directory. Now, after Pizza Max which was opened last month another pizza shop is operational by the name of Pizza Pizzeria. The soft opening of this pizza restaurant was held a week ago without any formal announcement and advertisement. I’ve talked to them, they told me that the official grand opening is due and it will be held on Chand Raat and maybe they will serve up some discounts on the grand opening.
Pizza Pizzaria also has all sort of fast food items on its menu card and offers 11 different flavors of pizza. On purchase of each size of the pizza, you can get a free cold drink. This offer is valid on dine-in, takeaway and on home delivery. Moreover, they charge only Rs 30 for extra toppings. here is the menu card of Pizza Pizzaria to get to know about the prices and flavors:

The quitting of restaurants from Bahria Town is nothing new for us. In Sector D we have been observing the instability of market for years. Generally, there are hell a lot of closings in Bahria Town but recently in Sector D, Stop n Watch restaurant was closed and this time Kobeda Palace has wiped out. It was opened last year at the end of November.
I do not know when it was out from the market but I saw it yesterday on my way to friend’s place. The restaurant was closed and there was a total blackout at the location. Not to mention, I remember that I’ve tried their special baked Kobedas with crispy naan which was actually good in taste and very juicy. So, the taste wasn’t an excuse for its closure, the only major drawback is that their choice of location was totally off and couldn’t get much-needed customer’s attention. Also, they have had a very congested sitting area, without any surrounding commercial activity and the traffic flow is too low. It was located in Ayyub Tower, AA block, near to the bridge.
Pan & Grill is one of the oldest fast food restaurants and has been serving for almost three years in Bahria Town. The former name of Pan & Grill was Gets & Grill, which was changed a few months back at the end of last year. Now, this week, Pan & Grill shifted to a new location which is mentioned below.
Previously, Pan & Grill was operational at Jasmine Block, behind Girls hostel, Sector C, commercial zone.
Pan & Grill is now shifted next to Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Talwar Chowk, Jasmine Block, Sector C. For home delivery contact:

Maybe I am not a burger fan but I do know that from where you can get best juicy burgers in Lahore. However, in Bahria Town, the scenario is different, though we have a widespread list of fast food restaurant offering a variety of burgers. But, there are very limited choices that solely sell burgers other than Timmy’s, Mcdonald’s, Reckstar, and other international chains. Recently, two burger shops (The Grill Spot and Smash) stopped serving and permanently closed and moved out to other locations. Now, after these two burger shops here is another newly opened burger shop:
Two months ago, I saw the opening soon board with the name of Burger Fuel. I visited the stop to get some information but at that time there wasn’t any activity at the branch and no one was there. So, I called on the numbers mentioned on the board and all of the numbers were switched off. Then, almost two weeks ago the name on the board replaced by Burger Fix, I’ve attached both of the pictures before and after the name changed. One of the guy at the shop clear my confusion about the name and he told me that they were facing some name issue regarding its registration so they changed it.
Well, the second branch of Burger Fix in Bahria Town’s D Market has officially opened on Monday, 7th May. Its first branch is located somewhere in DHA. The menu card of Burger Fix is quite simple and they’ve only seven different flavors of burgers which includes both chicken and beef options. You can get free home delivery within the town but there isn’t any opening discount.
Opening time: 05:00 PM.
Closing time: 02:00 AM
Burger Fix is located at D-Market, Shaheen Block, Sector B, opposite to Yummy’s 36 restaurant and next to Shaukat Khanam Laboratory. Previously, Adil Barbeque restaurant was operational which was closed a few months ago.

Pizza Max is one of the oldest and renowned pizza chains and have more than 14 branches sprinkled all over the Karachi and Hyderabad. Now, one of its branch is officially active in Bahria Town three days ago on Tuesday, 8th May. The other two branches are in Emporium Mall and Allama Iqbal Town.

Smash restaurant was opened in Bahria Town last year in the first week of December. They were selling burgers, Lebanese shawarma, and shakes. I tried their cordon blue zinger and dark temptation shake twice in a month after hearing attractive reviews and feedback from others. And I think that they’ve had the best burgers in Bahria Town with the fine quality and quantity.
Well, last week they moved out from Bahria Town and closed it permanently. Here are the few reasons for moving out from Town. First of all its location wasn’t good enough and they had very congested sitting area. It was located in Jasmine Block, Sector C near to Girls Hostel. Secondly, more than 80% of their customers are in other parts of the city not from Bahria. So, they shut down recently and take this restaurant in the middle of the city.
For all those who still wanted to get their giant and juicy burgers, they’ve relocated and opened it at main PIA road near to Wapda Town with much better location and ample of space with roof-top.
The above kinds of shops especially for kids are rare in Bahria Town and you can hardly find a few shops that have the cone machine. And, despite its quality and hygiene problems you still can’t resist your kids not to visit. Actually, with a little pocket money, waffle cone ice-creams are best mini treats for them in the summers. This shop has opened a few days ago in D-Market and offers different flavors of cone ice-creams, shakes, coffee and other snacks.
I think they charge Rs. 30/- for small scoop and Rs. 50/- for large. A similar shop was also opened months ago by the name of Wido Waffle Cone Ice-Cream in Jasmine Block, Sector C. Well, it’s a slight update but in telephone directory, you can check all the available options of ice-creams that are available in Bahria Town.
This shop opens at 5:00 PM and closes till midnight.
Waffle Cone Ice-Cream shop is located at D-Market, adjacent to Lahore Chatkhara and UBL bank, Sector B.
