Shutting down of any type of business in Bahria Town isn’t a new thing for us. Indeed and sadly, winding up a commercial activity throughout in Bahria Town has become a ritual and clearly, it wouldn’t be stopped in near future. Hundreds of venus had already closed their doors in Town, re-located or still struggling to secure their market. I think there is not a single angle to discuss why so many names are striving or even big names couldn’t make it through. And, this topic needs to be researched thoroughly and I will write on it in details soon anytime.
However, here on this blog, we’re keeping a regular tally of which businesses are opened and which are closed. You can take a look at all previous posts to get the idea of opening and closing ratio in Town. Well, in recent days, I’ve become acquainted with more businesses which are now offline permanently. Here are the details:
Shavi Hut had opened their second branch in Bahria Town almost a year ago. The first branch is still operational somewhere in Izmir Town. Bahria Town’s branch has wiped out last month. Shavihut restaurant was located at main road AA Block, Sector D, near to Surahi Chowk and next to Pizza 2 Go restaurant.
I remember that they did not even advertise much at the time of its opening. Only a few signboards around Metro Gulf Centre. So, it’s obvious they couldn’t manage to reach out to the residents properly and eventually ended up shutting down. Rockstar was opened at the start of July this year. It was located at Metro Gulf Centre, Tulip Ext Block, Sector C, near to Bahria Golf & Country Club.
I must say, they had put a lot of effort and investment in their shop. It was one of the best barber shops in Bahria Town with an impressive unique interior. But unfortunately, this shop was closed a month ago. They opened it last year in November and located at the main boulevard near to Jamin Java Cafe.
Though there are plenty of departmental stores that are operational in Bahria Town and normally managed to survive. But WU mart has closed its door after a few months of opening. It was located at the main boulevard, Sector C, near to the Green Pharmacy and Agha Khan laboratory.
Milk House & King Tobacco:
Milk House and King Tobacco were located at CC Block, Sector D. Both are closed now and also opened at the same month of April.
