What’a Paratha Is Closed

This time it’s What’a Paratha that didn’t make it and closed the doors in Bahria Town. It was opened in Town this year in April. And, today I saw a banner with a sign of “for rent” over the building where it was located.

After seeing this, I thought its Bakra Eid so maybe they’re on days off. I contacted them to verify this. But, they confirmed that they’ve closed Bahria’s branch. They told me the branch is temporarily closed. It will re-open again in Bahria Town with a more suitable location. Most probably somewhere inside the Town. It was located on the main canal road, next to Yasir Broast.

Well, for all the fans of What’a Paratha for the time being it is closed. I will update you whenever they find another location for it.

Reality— another clothing brand that is now going to open in Bahria Town on main canal road. The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 3rd August. In each sector, the road streamers have been placed which probably have reached to every resident already. These road streamers tell the name, opening date, the address of the venue and discount offer but didn’t clear us that what they are going to sell. So, if you got confused like me then Reality is the name of the Clothing Brand. They offer all kinds of men, women, kids wear and other accessories. Not sure, but I think it’s their second branch. The first one is operational in Kareem Market, Iqbal Town.

The Colosseum Replica

Have you seen this monument of Colosseum also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre already? If not, then you can check this arresting monument of Colosseum near Bahria entrance. This replica has been placed a few days ago at the main canal road next to Taj Mahal replica. The original one is located in the center of Rome, Italy.

A Little Background:

The original one is partially damaged due to earthquakes and stone-robbers but still, it is one of Italy’s most attractive tourist place. According to Wikipedia, it is the largest amphitheater ever build and the construction was started in AD 72 and completed in AD 80. The Colosseum could hold an average audience of 65,000. It was used for gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of battles, and for dramas. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, and a quarry.

So, if you want to get a glimpse of the Colosseum in Bahria Town then do visit it in night hours. Well, I’ve written in details about all the monuments and replicas that have already become the signature identity and are on the top of the list of most visited places in Bahria Town.

Everyone is familiar with the name of Bata in the footwear industry. They opened its first outlet in Bahria Town back in 2015 on the main boulevard Sector C. Now, as you can see in the above picture, another Bata outlet has opened last week in Town. There is another option that is now available for all those who have a strong relationship with ‘Chai’ in this winter. Because last month, Chaey Shaey has opened its fourth branch in Bahria Town. According to my information, Chaey Shaey already have 3 branches at different locations of Lahore. One of its branch is also active at University of Management & Technology and one was at Allah Hoo Chowk, which is closed, before the opening in Bahria Town.

Entrance And Exit Of Bahria Town

There is hell of a mess at entrance and exit of Bahria Town. Main Canal Road has a huge traffic block at Shahkam chowk. People spend some times hours to pass through the Shahkam Chowk.

Jaliana Gate:

Bahria has started to make out most of what it already have. Bahria is working on Jaliana exit. Bahria made few changes at that side to bring ease to people.

  1. Bahria opened one more gate at Jaliana side
  2. Bahria take down the corner place (where you have to pass one by one). Now both side traffic can move at a same time.
  3. Bahria carpeted the road where needed.
  4. Bahria construct a road to Dream Gardens bridge.
  5. Bahria place there guards at Bridge so traffic can move one by one.

Above changes has made a good traffic flow but still we require much to happen.

Canal Road Construction:

Bahria is leveling up the Canal Road. For few days traffic is moving one way or through the other side of Canal. Much work is done and less is remain. Hope we’ll get a clear road in couple of days.

Golf Exit or Mirza Chowk Entrance:

Many people have also started to use the Golf exit which go through the Nargis block. That passage is clear, connect you with Raiwind Road by passing through the BNU (Beaconhouse National University).

Bahria has constructed the carpeted road where required and you save much of your time if you have to move through that side of the city.

Conclusion:

Though we have three above mentioned exits but still the Shahakam Chowk is most important one. Govt. has approved a bridge on Defense Road which we hope to see constructed within this year. I guess that will ease down the load, until then we have to make a good use of other exits which are quite maintained now.
