There is another option that is now available for all those who have a strong relationship with ‘Chai’ in this winter. Because last month, Chaey Shaey has opened its fourth branch in Bahria Town. According to my information, Chaey Shaey already have 3 branches at different locations of Lahore. One of its branch is also active at University of Management & Technology and one was at Allah Hoo Chowk, which is closed, before the opening in Bahria Town.
I remember that last year I have tried their Chai from Allah Hoo Chowk branch and it was quite good in taste. The price of one cup was Rs. 40 at that time, now the price of cup is Rs. 50/- at Bahria Town branch.
Chaey Shaey in Bahria Town is located at main canal road adjacent to Butt Karahi & Zakir Tikka, and opposite to makn entrance of Bahria Town.
For more details:
There is hell of a mess at entrance and exit of Bahria Town. Main Canal Road has a huge traffic block at Shahkam chowk. People spend some times hours to pass through the Shahkam Chowk.
Bahria has started to make out most of what it already have. Bahria is working on Jaliana exit. Bahria made few changes at that side to bring ease to people.
- Bahria opened one more gate at Jaliana side
- Bahria take down the corner place (where you have to pass one by one). Now both side traffic can move at a same time.
- Bahria carpeted the road where needed.
- Bahria construct a road to Dream Gardens bridge.
- Bahria place there guards at Bridge so traffic can move one by one.
Above changes has made a good traffic flow but still we require much to happen.
Canal Road Construction:
Bahria is leveling up the Canal Road. For few days traffic is moving one way or through the other side of Canal. Much work is done and less is remain. Hope we’ll get a clear road in couple of days.
Golf Exit or Mirza Chowk Entrance:
Many people have also started to use the Golf exit which go through the Nargis block. That passage is clear, connect you with Raiwind Road by passing through the BNU (Beaconhouse National University).
Bahria has constructed the carpeted road where required and you save much of your time if you have to move through that side of the city.
Though we have three above mentioned exits but still the Shahakam Chowk is most important one. Govt. has approved a bridge on Defense Road which we hope to see constructed within this year. I guess that will ease down the load, until then we have to make a good use of other exits which are quite maintained now.
