I remember that when I was in my school life, in Lahore, we had only few places to visit at that time, like Zoo, Minar-e-Pakistan, Badshahi Mosque, Shalimar Gardens and Shahi Qilla. But now Bahria Town has been added to the list of must visit places by providing various other options. It has now become one of the best spot for many visitors to spend their leisure time. I have also witnessed that many trips of students from Lahore and other surrounding areas come to Bahria Town. The most visited place in recent days in Bahria Town, is the replica of Eiffel tower and Grand Jamya Masjid. Eiffel tower is the third most largest copy of Eiffle tower, in the world after Paris and China. Recently, Cinegold Plex has opened in Bahria Town, which is a Pakistan first 3D gold cinema with state of the art structure. It is also become a new destination for residents of Lahore. However, there are number of choices to visit in Bahria Town and everyone is  familiar with it. And the pinpointing more deeply about all the places of Bahria Town could take more time.

For now, the only thing I chose to share, are the Mosques of Bahria Town Lahore. These Mosques in Bahria Town are one of the things which have impressed me and forced me to write about them. Mostly people only talk about the Grand Jamya Masjid. And solely, Bahria Grand Jamya Mosque is a stand-out among all, but there are other seven Mosques in Town as-well. Residents of Bahria Town may be accustomed with all the Mosques but visitors may not know about them other than Grand Jamya Mosque. All of them have uniquely architectural feats, which drift your mind to visit them atleast once. With all other amenities and facilities Bahria Town, has also bring-in the idea of separate Mosque for each Sector/Block. Indeed, in every Bahria Town’s project, certainly its Mosques has become the identity of Bahria Town.

Jamya Masjid Abu Zar Ghafari:

I think that Jamya Masjid ‘Abu Zar Ghafari’ is the second most alluring and magnificent architectural Mosque. The construction of this Mosque has completed in 2016. And it is the only Mosque which is located at Sector F.

  • The Mosque have only one central Dome and one Minaret.

Al-Falah Mosque Executive Lodges:

Al-Falah Mosque in Bahria Town is nestled between the Executive lodges and Overseas Enclave. Though, all the Mosques in Bahria Town, are impressive due to its own structure and beauty. But I have graded this Mosque on third number due to its idiosyncratic carving and calligraphy.

  • The most interesting fact about this Mosque, is that, it have the oldest ‘Holy Quran’ unique manuscripts, which are about 200-300 years old.
  • It has the capacity to accommodate more than 1500 ‘Namazis’ at a time.
  • It has two separate areas for ‘Wazu’, which can be seen in picture in front of the Mosque.

Abu Bakar Saddique(R.A) Masjid:

Abu Bakar Saddique(R.A), Mosque is the forth most attractive Mosque in Bahria Town. It is located in the middle of Umar and Gulbahar Block.

This Mosque has also the capacity of more than 3,000 Namazis at one time. The Dome and Minaret of this Mosque is simple. But on Dome ‘Kalma Tayyaba’ is written on it. The above pictures are from its back and front side. The simple colour combination of green and off-white, makes it more elegant and graceful.

Qurtaba Masjid:

Qurtaba Mosque is located at Central Avenue, Safari Villas, adjacent to Safari Mall. It looks like a small one, but it can also accomdate more than 5000 Namazis at one time.

  • This Mosuqe is attached with a lawn and it is one of the low roof Mosque, which is in round shape.
  • There is no Dome attached to this Mosque, however it only have one Minaret.
  • The most simple yet adorable Mosque in Bahria Town.

Sarwar Masjid:

Sarwar Mosque is located at CC block, Sector D, near to Mcdonalds. This Mosque can accommodate more than 2000 Namazis.

Ali Masjid:

Ali Masjid is located at Ali block, it can accommodate approximately more than 1500 Namzis at one time. This Mosuqe shows the simplicity and appealing due to its unique colour. Having only one Minaret and four small Domes.

Rafi Masjid:

Rafi Masjid is located at Rafi Block. At a  time, about 2000 Namazis  can offer prayer at this Mosque. This Msoque may not clench your attention because of its simple design and architect. But the use of white coloured tiles purely makes it visible to the entire area that surrounds it. It have only one small Dome and one square shaped Minaret.

Bahria Town is on top of the list by having maximum numbers of Mosques. each Mosque in Bahria town have a separate and spacious car parking area. All Mosques are equipped with all basic things, centrally air-conditioned, carpeted and well maintained.
